1999年,2002年和2008年分别在哈尔滨工业大学获得学士、硕士和博士学位;受香港政府资助,2009年到2011年期间在香港理工大学电子计算系做博士后研究;2012年加入天津大学计算机科学 与技术学院,任教授。

中国人工智能学会粗糙集与软计算专委会常务委员,中国计算机学会天津分部执行委员、秘书。

2012年入选天津大学“北洋青年学者”计划,获得国家优秀青年基金。

主要从事复杂数据机器学习、数据挖掘及其应用方面的研究,关注混合数据、多模态数据的知识发现。主持国家自然科学基金3项,参与973课题2项。在科学出版社出版学术专著《应用粗糙计算》一部;发表学术论文90余篇,被SCI检索60余篇。所发表的论文被引用1000余次,其中SCI他引300余次,先后成为Pattern Recognition, Information Sciences, Pattern Recognition Letters, Knowledge Based Systems杂志近5年发表被引用次数最多的论文之一。撰写的会议论文获“PRICAI2006”、2007和2010年“中国粗糙集与软计算会议”优秀学生论文奖。先后应邀在“2010年数字图书馆前沿问题高级研讨班”与“2nd Workshop on Massive Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery”国际研讨会,“2011年中国粗糙集与软计算会议”和2012年JRS国际会议作大会报告。

2010年担任7th International Conference on Rough Sets and Current Trends in Computing(波兰)的程序委员会Co-Chair,2012年担任中国粗糙集与软计算会议(合肥)程序委员会共同主席以及国际会议2012 Joint Rough Set Symposium的Tutorial Chair与专题“Mining Complex Data with Granular Computing”的共同主席。
